The United States and Swedish tennis got stuck in a strong rivalry at the time of Pete Sampras and Stefan Edberg. Their rivalry ended 8 -6 to Sampras showing a crucial contest between them. Having won the Wimbledon tennis record seven times, gives Sampras a leading edge on Edberg. On the other hand Edberg has won this title twice. Although the Grand Slam titles of Edberg and Sampras show no rivalry but Edberg was known to contest till the end, giving hard time to his opponents.
