Popular Tennis Player Gaston Gaudio
Gaston Norberto Gaudio, a former tennis player from Argentina was born on December 9, 1978 in Temperley, Buenos Aires. He was only 6 years old when he started off playing tennis. In the list Argentine juniors tennis players h ranked 145th then. He turned proficient in 1996 and 1998 and was victorious in two ATP Challenger events. One of these events took place in Santa Cruz, Bolivia and the other one in Santiago. Gaudio was also the winner of two successive competitions one in Nice and the other in Espinho. He defeated Jacobo Diaz and Markus Hipfi correspondingly. His first distinguished presentation was the time when he took part in French open as a qualifier and made it to the 3rd round. He determined himself on the core trip in Braunschweig in 2000 and defeated his challenger, Franco Squillari.
Along with his ‘Challenger’ title, Gaudio reached to the semi finals in Auckland, Santiago and later showed most outstanding performance at the Monte Carlo Masters. However, the start of the year 2001 was not good for Gaudio as he lost his first 4 matches of the season to a number of reputed players. However, in next to no time he resumed his winning position, making to the final of Vina del Mar, but beaten by his bitter challenger Guillermo Coria. Gaudio defeated Coria after a tough match in the quarter finals of Buenos Aires. Gaudio facilitated Argentina in their revisiting to the World Group which was all played on clay courts in Argentina. Things were not as fine as were anticipated; Gaudio was beaten in many of the early round matches, as a result of which he was ranked to No.48 at the end of 2001.
