Is Roger Federer's Glory Ending?

Fame is a bee. It has a song. It has a sting. Ah, too, it has a wing.” Emily Dickinson

No wonder Roger has his fame-song. He has a fame-sting for every opponent and his fame-wings made him fly higher and higher. He accomplished all the milestones with flying colors. But somehow things haven’t been the same. The song changed. His sting got weaker and one of his wings is just not helping him to fly higher and further more!

The year 2010 hasn’t been good for Federer so far. He has been clearly struggling with his performance and is lacking good volleys and service returns. In 2010, except for Australian Open, Federer has not been able to win any title. He had an upset in the first round of the Rome title. He was thrashed out by an emerging player, Gulbis. In a row, Federer lost to Nadal at Madrid Open where king Roger was defending his title. In addition, King Federer lost to Nadal yet, again, at the French Open 2010 while Roger was defending his title. Last but not the least, Federer, who is known to rule the grass court, lost to Berdych in Wimbledon 2010 at a quarterfinal stage. Shocking, isn’t it?

What’s happening here? Is Roger struggling with his performance and fitness or is this it for him? Is it the temporary downfall of Roger or is it the permanent end to his career? Lots of questions have been raised by his dismayed fans over Roger‘s performance. The year 2010 has much more in the basket for the tennis players. Let’s see if Federer makes his way back into the tennis world with the same extraordinary play or not.

Stay tuned!
