Famous female tennis player, Victoria Azarenka is a Belarusian tennis professional who is currently ranked at number 4 in the WTA rankings. She has won two Grand Slam titles in mixed doubles but has yet to win a Grand Slam title in the singles. She won the U.S. Open mixed doubles title with Max Mirnyi in 2007 and then she won the French Open mixed doubles 2008 with Bob Bryan. Her records in the singles events of Grand Slams are not particularly impressive as she has only managed to reach to the quarter finals of Wimbledon and the French Open and the fourth round of Australian and U.S. Opens. In all, Victoria Azarenka has won 11 tennis single titles while reaching the quarter finals thrice in the Grand Slams.

Victoria Azarenka is considered to be an aggressive baseline player. She is famous for her powered and well timed ground shots. The best shot played by her is the back hand which is considered to be one of the best in current women’s tennis. A forehand shot is considered to be her minor weakness which sometimes leads her to unforced errors which has improved in the recent times. But, her biggest weakness is her service because she struggles to earn cheap points and win close matches. But, with her improvements, she can surely go up to the top rankings with her performance.

Famous female tennis player Nadia Petrova is a Russian professional tennis player who is currently ranked at number 28 in WTA Singles rankings and has achieved the highest ranking of third in 2006. She is World No. 9 in doubles. Overall, she has won twenty seven titles in her career out of which nine are in singles and eighteen are in doubles. But, her grand slam records are not that impressive as she has only managed to reach to the semi-finals of French Open twice and to the quarter-finals of other three Grand Sams.

Russian tennis player, Nadia Petrova is considered to be a hard baseline player who plays very good forehand as well as back hand shots which are her strength. She plays single handed forehand shost but plays the back-hand with the use of two hands which is considered to be one of the best in the WTA tennis. Even though, her service is not considerably fast but she challenges with very good returns. She can play the ball across the court with the ease. She doesn’t approach the net frequently except to play returns of the drop shots played by an opponent. With time, Petrova has improved in her service and has made it effective. She will surely look forward to match her skills to get to the top ranks again.

Famous female tennis player Marion Bartoli is a French tennis professional who is currently ranked at number eleven in the WTA rankings and stands as the top French player after the retirement of famous female French tennis player Amiley Mouresmo. Even though, her records in the Grand Slam events like U.S. Open and French Open are not so good as she hasn’t even able to qualify for the last sixteen, her Australian Open record is quite satisfied with making it to last sixteen. Her best Grand Slam record came in Wimbledon in 2007 when she managed to make it to the last two but finally lost it. She has won 3 doubles titles and 5 WTA Singles titles. She was able to defeat best female tennis player Justin Henin in the semi-final of Wimbledon 2007 who was the World No. 1 then. In addition to this, Marion Bartoli also defeated the former World No. 1 Jelena Jankovic in the fourth round of Australian Open 2009.

French tennis player Marion is very famous for her playing style of intense and unorthodox shots on the tennis court. She is usually differentiated as a hard hitting and aggressive tennis player and uses both hands to play forehand as well as backhand shots. Marion developed her style of both hands on the advice of her father coach. Famous female tennis player Jelena Jankovic is a former number one professional tennis player from Serbia. Currently, the Russian tennis player Jelena is ranked at number nine in the world and she hasn’t won any Grand Slam titles in her career. Her form started when she defeated many top 20 best female tennis players like Patty Schnyder, Vera Zvonareva and Nadia Petrova. She ended 2004 with the rank 28th in the world. She was ranked at number one place for continuous sixteen week till February, 2009 when it was taken over by current best female tennis player Serena Williams. She ended 2008 with the top rank. In the process, she became the first player in the WTA tennis history to achieve this feat without winning a Grand Slam. Famous and best female tennis player, Caroline Wozniacki is a tennis professional from Denmark who is currently the World No. 1 female tennis player in WTA rankings at the young age of 20. This is a career high ranking for her and she is the only Danish woman player in the top 300 WTA rankings. As of May 2011, Caroline has been able to hold the No. 1 rank at WTA for 32 weeks. Her best performance came in the U.S. Open when she reached the finals of the event. She has reached the fourth round at Wimbledon and the Australian Open and the third round of the French Open which shows her strength on hard court surfaces and has won 16 WTA singles titles. She has born to Polish parents but due to her father moving to Denmark, she has brought up in Denmark and plays for Denmark.

According to many commentators and tennis fans, Danish tennis player, Wozniacki is a pusher but she can take an aggressive approach at times. Wozniacki is known for her obstinacy at chasing the balls and her agility on moving around the court. Even though, she is known to be a passive player but she can be crafty when it comes to set up the aggressive winners. Wozniacki is best known for her mental strength amongst the WTA top ten. She is very much resistant to choking and can easily pull herself out of difficult situations.

Famous and hottest tennis player Ana Ivanovic is a former number one Serbian tennis professional who is currently ranked at number twenty two in the WTA rankings. She has won only a single Grand Slam in her career to date. She was a winner in the French Open Grand Slam event in 2008 and was runner up in the French Open in 2007, the Australian Open in 2008 which shows her good record on clay courts and her suitable games at clay court. Her best record at Wimbledon was to reach to the semi finals in 2007.
